Olá, I’m Clara.

Product designer, mom, mentor, photographer and dancer living in the Mission District in San Francisco.

My interest for visual arts started pretty much ever since I was born. My mother is a wardrobe designer for film, TV and theater and my father is a Brazilian diplomat, film maker, producer and photographer.

With my family influences and my background in product, visual design (both digital and print), photography and quality-assurance engineering, my goal is to convert complicated problems into simple, holistic, creative and inclusive solutions. Always bringing the focus to human centered design in order to best solve the various complex ways people interact with products.

In my experience, if we can design for trust, we can build strong and everlasting relationships between people and their products.

A little more about me…

✈️ Traveling makes me feel alive. Discovering a new country, a new city or even just a new art show is when I get most of my inspiration from.

💃🏽 Dancing makes me feel grounded. I take at least a few dance classes a week. Recently, I paraded at Carnaval on the Mission with the amazing group, Sambaxé.

📷 Photography makes me feel connected to my heart. I have an amazing collection of film cameras and I can’t resist a beautiful designed photography book.

🌊 Swimming makes my energy flow even stronger. When possible, I find a way closer to the sun preferably by a warm ocean in Brazil.
